October 12, 2022 First Founders Breakfast
On October 12th, the Fund for Women hosted the First Founders Breakfast at Riverfront Events in Wilmington, DE. Marianne Kenville-Moore, Director of Advocacy & Policy at the Delaware Coalition Against Domestic Violence was awarded the First Founders’ Award for her integrity, dedication, and advocacy toward ending domestic violence in Delaware. Together, we welcome the seven new Founders that joined at this event!
October 2, 2022 Fashion Show
On Sunday, October 2nd the Fund for Women Sussex County Development Committee hosted the 10th Annual Fashion Show at the Rehoboth Beach Country Club. We had 166 people in attendance, over $7,000 raised in sponsorships, and 14 new Founders sign up that day. It was a very successful event that raised almost $20,000.
August 24, 2022 Summer Social Spritzer
On August 24th, the Fund for Women New Castle County Development Committee co-hosted an event with the New Castle County Board of Realtors Young Professional Network. The event was held at the Goldey Beacom College Event Center. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this fun networking event.
On May 25th, the Fund for Women (FFW) hosted the Annual Grant Awards Dinner in Dover, Delaware. Debra J. Quinton was awarded the Driving Force Award and recognized for her commitment to the FFW through creative graphic design and volunteer engagement with our Sussex County Development Committee. Representatives from 15 different nonprofit organizations that received 2022 grants totaling $198,600 were in attendance. Thank you to Dr. Michelle Drew from Ubuntu Black Family Wellness Collective for speaking about their 2022 programming.
April 22, 2022 Tea and Philanthropy Social
The FFW Sussex County Development Committee hosted their first event of the year with Tea and Philanthropy on April 22nd at the home of the 2021 First Founder award recipient, Cheryl Mitchell.
May 17, 2022 Hello Spring Social
The FFW Sussex County Development Committee also hosted a patio party on May 17th to say "Hello, Spring" at the Senators Clubhouse in Lewes. Sussex chair Kelly Sheridan co-hosted with committee members Sue Millard and Joan Millard

FFW Kent County Development Chair, Peni Warren, hosted a house party on May 1 to celebrate “Hooray for May, It’s Galentine’s Day.”
October 20, 2021 First Founders Breakfast
On October 20, the Fund for Women hosted the First Founders Breakfast. Cheryl Mitchell was awarded the First Founders' Award for her integrity, community leadership, and commitment to Delaware Philanthropy. Ginger Weiss was awarded the Fund for Women Driving Force Award (Spring 2021) and recognized at the Breakfast for her commitment to Delaware through community, volunteerism, and leadership. Representatives from 15 nonprofit organizations that received 2021 Fund for Women Grants totaling $209,998 were in attendance.
The June PureBarre Event was held on the grounds in the sculpture garden at the Delaware Art Museum. The event was hosted by the FFW Young Founder and New Castle County Development Committees in collaboration with Pure Barre, Greenville, DE.
